Funny T-shirts - Give the Gift of Laughter

It used to be that knowing a good joke or one-liner was the way of giving the gift of laughter. It still is. But, for those of us who have a hard time remembering jokes or coming up with our own, we have turned to wearing funny t-shirts in order to deliver this gift.

Now, the gift of laughter has many faces. The gift can be sharing a joke with another human being or it can be enjoyed solely by the wearer of the funny t-shirt. For instance, many funny t-shirt websites now have a line of offensive or rude t-shirts that are meant to shock the other party who reads them. The one who purchases and wears this funny t-shirt enjoys the reaction of others.

Funny t-shirts can also make social or political statements as well. Two terms of the current President have spawned all sorts of hilarity at his expense. Of course, many others would argue that he’s brought all this ridicule upon himself. No matter, funny t-shirts are about delivering a message and about personal identity.

When one wears a funny t-shirt they are stating, “This is who I am and this is what I believe”. Funny t-shirts are also a good way to break the ice in a social situation. Men and women no longer have to struggle with cheesy pick-up lines as they can simply state their interests on a funny tee. For instance, a t-shirt that reads, “Quick! I need a naked nurse” or “I’m in touch with my horniness emotion” may just tell the opposite sex of your interests.

Funny t-shirts have also turned vintage. Graphics of those from yesteryear spouting puns, irony and dirty slogans have been popular of late. Humorous graphics from the 1920’s to the 1970’s are generally used to deliver the funny messages.

Some funny t-shirts are all about the message and contain no funny graphics whatsoever. The concept and joke or pun is the key to the humor in these t-shirt designs. These designs may include some minimal design work like fun with fonts, drop shadows, colors and outlines, but verbal message is the most important element in these types of funny tees.

All-in-all, funny t-shirts are a great way to get the message of laughter out. Share a joke with a family member, friend or coworker today just by dropping a funny tee on yourself. It’s a lot more fun than wearing a “kick me” sign on your back and generally no animal testing is done when producing the tees.

10 Tips To Prevent Credit Card Fraud

Imagine opening your credit card statement one morning and
discovering to your horror that you suddenly owe thousands
of dollars - on purchases that you never made.

Impossible?

Credit card fraud on the rise, so you need to treat your
card and its information with extreme care.

Here are 10 tips to help insure you're not the victim of
thieves and fraudsters:

1. Sign new and replacement cards immediately.

2. Destroy the old cards by cutting them into pieces and
shred all old receipts and bills.

3. Don't fax your credit-card number, if possible. Remember,
the faxed document could remain in sight at the other end
for long periods of time.

4. Don't give your card number over the phone unless you
have initiated the call.

5. Destroy any carbon paper if it's used as part of the
credit card transaction. Somebody can grab it and forge
your signature.

6. Don't respond to any "scam" e-mails requesting your
credit card number.

7. Never send your credit card number in an e-mail to
anyone!

8. A good option for discouraging theft is to choose a
credit card that includes your photo and signature on the
card.

9. If you have questions about mistakes or unauthorized
items on your statement, you have the right to challenge
them.

10. If your card is lost, stolen, or you suspect fraudulent
use, call your company's 24-hour hotline immediately to
prevent your card from being used as little as possible. The
company will block its use, and you won't be responsible for
any charges made by thieves.

You'll never deter fraudsters completely. But you can
certainly make life as difficult as possible for them.

Why Use Option Trading Strategies?

Many opportunity seekers are attracted to options trading as they have heard stories making promises of fast profits. The problem is that these traders come in thinking of nothing more than stuffing their bank accounts full of cash in a short period of time. While this scenario is achievable the odds are certainly going well against you. In most cases achieving big profits in a short time period involves an extremely high risk options trading strategy. The key to your success is finding a reliable strategy and mastering it. It is far better to pull off consistent gains rather than trying to hit a home run. Once you know one strategy, well you can learn others.

Below are some of the options trading strategies that you may consider.

Popular strategies to trade options include:

Bullish on volatility
Bearish on volatility
Selling Credit Spreads
Bearish strategies
Selling Covered Calls
Bullish strategies
Neutral or non-directional strategies
Calendar Straddle
Strangles

The above list is in no way an exhaustive list, there are plenty of other strategies that you may employ. The purpose of this article is to just give you a small taste of some of the possibilities. Below I expand on a few.

Selling Credit Spreads - If you are looking for a strategy that does not involve marrying your stock options career, then this is one you could consider. There is nothing worse than following a strategy that requires you to monitor the market for every minute of the trading day. You can complete what is involved with this strategy in around an hour a week and if done correctly you might be able to increase your portfolio by around 10-15 per cent monthly. They are great returns that really put to shame what the banks are offering. To execute this strategy you need to know how to carry out a trend analysis on the market. Of course the scope of this article does not allow me to cover this further. You are best advised to join the mailing list on this site.

Bullish Strategy - If you are expecting the underlying stock of an option to increase then you could go with this strategy. The Bullish options trading strategies are brought into play when you as the trader expects the underlying stock price to increase in value. You need to consider just how high the stock price is likely to go and within what time frame. The most likely strategy choice for a bullish trader is a simple call buying strategy. This is quite popular with beginners. Other bullish strategies include Covered Straddle, Bull Calendar Spread and The Collar.

Complex Strategies - These include such things as iron condors, butterflies, straddles and strangles. Just where do they come up with the names used in strategies for options trading? Strange aren't they? The ones I have listed here if followed correctly are generally low risk while at the same time being highly likely to be profitable. The disadvantage is that they are expensive, either due to the fact that you are trading expensive options or thanks to high brokerage fees which come about due to the number of trades involved.

You should remember that options are quite versatile trading instruments. With such great flexibility this is where many people get it wrong. They think that the more complicated an option trading strategy is the more successful it can be. In fact it can be quite the opposite. The more complicated the strategy the more open you could be to risk while at the same time limiting profit potential.

As with any strategy you employ with your options trading business and treat it with respect. Don't trade live until you have given it a good test using a practice account. Only then should you consider running with it using your real money.

When learning how to trade options it is always advisable to only use risk capital when trading with real money. This means only use money that you can afford to lose if you have trades that go against you. There you go that just touches the surface of options trading strategies. Of course you will want to learn more and then select a strategy to trade your options using a test account. From there who knows?

Always remember to not let things get out of hand. If you are learning a new strategy only trade with one contract at a time. If you go overboard you will soon find yourself out of control and headed towards disaster. Options trading is not a race. You have time on your side and you should make the most of it. The market will still be here tomorrow.

Sleeping With Your Baby - The Benefits

There are a lot of debates on whether we should let our babies sleep with us. I have tried different sleeping arrangements for each of our children, from sleeping in the crib in our room, to letting her sleep in her own room; to sleeping with me in our bed. We found out (through the hard way) that it is very important that a baby should not sleep by himself, until at least about 2 years of age. Below are some of the reasons.
  1. For mothers who breastfeed, it is less tiring and taxing to breastfeed if she sleeps with her baby. She can breastfeed even if she is half asleep. She doesn't have to spend half the night walking to and fro her child's room. I think this is a real benefit, because as mothers, we need to grab as much opportunities to sleep as possible, since the baby wakes up a few times a night.
  2. Some parents find that they can't sleep with their babies in their bed, because they are afraid of sids (sudden infant death syndrome) due to cosleeping. I bought a small little cosleeper bed that can be secured on our queen size bed to prevent this from happening. This bed is designed specifically for this purpose, and is quite convenient, especially if we need to travel.
  3. If the parent is still not comfortable with the baby in the bed, because they feel that they have less space to sleep, they should at least put the baby in cot bed or baby crib in their room. In this way, they can sleep comfortably while still have the baby with them.
  4. An infant will know if he is alone even when he is sleeping. He can sense it. He may feel that he is abandoned, and unloved. This will cause him to feel insecure and he might develop bad habits like thumb-sucking, etc. You can read my blog where I described my traumatic experiences of trying to remove my 2nd child's thumb sucking problem, who slept alone since she was born. We decided to sleep with her when she was 10 months old after realizing that her sleeping alone could have been the root cause of her thumb sucking problem. We also surveyed around and found out that most children that sucked their thumbs slept alone when they were infants. Also, studies have shown that Asian children (in the past) tend to have less thumb sucking problem, because, in the past, most Asian children sleep with their parents until preschool age or more.
  5. Another benefit of having the baby in the same room as the parents is so that the parents can know what is happening to their baby at every instant, throughout the night. There were two occasions where my 2nd child slept in her vomit until morning, and I didn't even realize it, even though I came to her room and breastfed her twice during the night. I feel so sorry for her.

Through my own painful experience, I will always advice parents to have their baby sleep in their room. My 3rd baby slept with me in our bed, and she is a very secure and happy child. However, my 2nd child who slept alone is still slightly insecure, even though I have tried very hard to give her more attention and express my love to her. Sometimes, these decisions that we make when they were young will affect their entire life. So, a little inconvenience on our part to have them sleep with us when they are infants can make a lot of difference in the future.
